About the event
ISP Events has great pleasure in collaborating with the Romanian Cultural Institute London and inviting you to explore this beautiful exhibition titled "Marie of Romania, Artist Queen. A floral conversation".
This is a major exhibition of watercolours by Queen Marie of Romania, many of which have never been seen in public before, part of two manuscripts held by the Romanian Academy. Lithographs of Marie’s watercolours will be displayed alongside The Transylvania Florilegium collection of exquisite botanical art commissioned by King Charles III. The display offers a vivid dialogue between the two royal collections, celebrating Romania’s astonishing biodiversity.
The exhibition is organised by the Romanian Cultural Institute London in partnership with The King's Foundation, curated by art historian Dr. Shona Kallestrup of St Andrews University and historian and collector Sorin Mărgărit.
